Scotch colored electrical tapes are awesome for wire marking and identification. Tape is stretchy, conformable, vinyl plastic. Flame retardant and weather resistant. U.L and CSA listed. Temperature rating -Celcius to 105-Celcius.
Scotch(R) 35 Vinyl Electrical Color Coding Tape is applied in phase identification, color coding leads and piping systems and for marking safety places. This tape is abrasion- and climate-resistant, with outstanding mechanical and electrical insulation properties that wraps smoothly and holds tight more than a wide range of temperatures. UL Listed and CSA Certified, and is flame-retardant. Fantastic all-climate performance in cold to (deg)F (-18(deg)C) or hot to 220(deg)F (105(deg)C).

We needed insulation against water/snow for our outdoor X-mas lights. This tape did the job. In contrast to frequent tapes that shed their stickiness in the freezing winter (we reached -5F), this tape held on. All our snowmen were still lighted even even though they had been half buried in the snow.
its white electrical tape. i necessary it to camouflage some black cables against drywall. not what its meant for, i know, but worked out nicely. kinda high priced...
