I don't do heavy wire running or snaking, but this steel fish tape got the job done for me. Nothing fancy, but it worked. Didn't like the end, doesn't make attaching wires easy, but like i said, it got the job done. If you just need one in your tool box, this is good. If you are going to be doing a lot of work with the fish tape, then perhaps spend more and get something a little better.

Like most men I unpacked this item and immediately started fishing my new Cat6 wire. Frustration set in when I couldn't get the tape to unwind and only after breaking off the plastic tip with my pliers did I notice the part about unwinding that was specified on the packaging. Having said all that, it work just find without the tip! :-)
